|
Chairs |
Guangming Jiang (University of Wollongong, AUSTRILIA),
Yanchen Liu (Tsinghua University, CHINA) |
|
Description |
The purpose of this workshop is to bring together scientific researchers and public health officials with different research backgrounds in the field of WBE to discuss issues of routine virus monitoring in sewage systems for early warning, tracking of case numbers, transmission dynamics and the efficacy of prevention and control of major epidemics. Through this exchange and learning, we look forward to the collision of new thinking of experts and scholars with different backgrounds and levels, and to propose novel, unique and effective solutions to deal with the current problems in wastewater-based epidemiology.
After this workshop, we hope that researchers in the field of wastewater will pay more attention to wastewater-based epidemiology and other potential applications in sewage systems. The workshop will identify the future applications and research gaps of WBE for viral pandemic monitoring
This workshop will be organized with support from the IWA Instrumentation, Control and Automation Specialist Group. |
